We maintain membership with the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA), are regulated under the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) for external dispute resolution, and operate under the terms of our aggregator, NLG. We also collect and share your credit information (e.g., credit report details) to meet our responsible lending obligations. 3. How and Why We Collect Your Information We collect information directly from you through applications, forms, and discussions. With your consent, we also collect information from third parties such as your bank, employer, accountant, solicitors, and Credit Reporting Bodies (CRBs). The primary purpose of collection is to assess your suitability for a loan, prepare and submit applications to lenders, fulfil our legal and compliance obligations, and manage our ongoing client relationship. 4. Disclosure and Security We disclose your personal information to third parties essential to the service, including the specific lender, our Aggregator (NLG), valuers, Lenders Mortgage Insurers, and legal representatives. We may also share it with external auditors and secure IT/data storage providers, some of whom may operate outside of Australia. We hold your information securely in electronic and physical form, protected from misuse or unauthorised access. We are required to retain records for a minimum of seven (7) years as per industry regulations. 5. Access, Correction, and Complaints You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to request that we correct any inaccurate details. We will respond to requests within a reasonable timeframe. If you have a complaint about how we have handled your privacy, please contact our Privacy Officer in the first instance.
